There was no grass in the fridge so I settled for just a plain burger with ketchup and pickled cayenne peppers. I also overdid the toasting.

It is, one of my favorite treats. However, not really something to make at home so I only buy it at Asian stores. Those layers you see are all baked seperatly before forming that cake..

The cake looks a lot like bebinca (an Indian spiced cake made of layers of eggs and coconut milk). I never personally baked one but I heard it takes ages, each layer has to be individually baked and covered with butter.

The summer has officially passed in this house with the appearance of the much anticipated first stew and dumplings of autumn.

Hmm... overcooked eggs. That's a bad show for a UK Pub. Chips look good though.
Yeah, they were a bit overdone, and we never know if the ham will be warmed or fridge cold. This one was the latter.
