This is so true. During a clear out of a bookshelf recently I found a couple of my mothers old textbooks, one on algebra and one on trigonometry. Despite the fact that she left school at 16 (mid 1950's) after a basic secondary school education, the standard would probably tax a mathematics post-grad today.

This is so close to the truth.........

"An old Yorkshireman is lying in his bed dying. With a very weak voice he asks:

"Is ar lass ere?"
"Aye, am ere luv."
"Are mi kids ere?"
"Yes, ur children are all here.'
"Are mi grandkids ere?"
"Yes grandad, we are all here."

Then why is't bloody light in't kitchen still on?!"

On the news the other night it said you were getting record temps for February? We are at the end of summer here, Autumn tomorrow.

Russ

Hottest February day on record in the UK ever yesterday - I was walking wearing a short sleeved T-shirt! People we sunbathing on the beach down on the coast.

Does it ever get really cold where you are?

Regular frosts during winter and cold and wet like your winters. We get snow occasionally, maybe once or twice a year and every 5 or 10 years a good drop of snow. I hate winter with a vengeance, we normally go to Australia Gold Coast mid winter to get a break from the cold. I love Spring because I know summers around the corner.
