What produce/ingredients did you buy or obtain today? (2018-2022)

We called in at the supermarket this morning; I was surprised that the bill was only Bht 280.00 (£6.50). A few tomatoes, 2 small baguettes, a bag of nachos, a box cutter, a roll of magic tape and a new small saucepan support for the gas hob. However, we were a whisker away from buying a Bht 17,000.00 television!

Thanks, either can I. This is a dish I am making for me, I am making Jerk Chicken for everyone else and if they are really, really nice to me I might even share a taste lol. Speaking of salted cod i need to get my mothers fish cake recipe.

Two T-bone steaks, €6.84. I don’t know how they do it - back home they would have cost £20 from my butcher. Cypriots don’t really eat steak, and this is the least popular cut. You can only usually find it in top end fusion restaurants - last week I paid £28 for a modest fillet at an Italian restaurant.
