I found that they don’t just foul the sensors, they gum up the lint trap something awful.Yep. I don't use those stinky dryer sheets.
Often they are products designed to make you spend money on something you probably don't need aimed at making the washing smell nice and/or get softened.I'm lost...
What's a dryer sheet?
What's a laundry sheet?
I just know bed sheets and roofing sheets![]()

Ain't got no dryer

The main purpose of dryer sheets is to deal with static electricity. The froo-froo smell is just a bonus.I guessed
But what about a washing machine? They’re a high consumption electrical arent they?![]()

Nope this is not for the dryer (I don’t own one), those are just washing machine sheets replacing the usual plastic detergent containerFor the dryer I use a microfiber washcloth that's damp with vinegar. Those 'normal' dryer sheets have ingredients that will gum up the sensors in newer machines. FWIW.

You put them in the dryer and it prevents all that static cling. Take about a foot of your kitchen aluminum foil and crumple it into a ball and toss it in the dryer. It'll last a couple of months or so.What are the balls of aluminium for?
My cats love them!!wool balls
