Last shop before Christmas
2 rack of lambs from New Zealand
4 fennel bulbs for 49c each
3 Russet potatoes for 19c a pound
2 long bananas for my daughter 39c a pound
Dried Cranberries, they are not cheap but I need them for baking cookies
2 Big Oyster mushrooms, they look fantastic I couldn’t resist buying 2
Stilton cheese
Peppered salami, my daughter likes this type
Pancetta
Parsnips, they are so expensive that I wonder why I buy them in the first place
10 lbs of fuji, gala, red delicious for 49c a pound
2 mangoes, this is a splurge because they are not cheap but I want to make shrimp avocado mango timbale
Belgian Endive
Brussels Sprouts
4 red bell peppers and 1 orange pepper
4 bunches of dill and mint, 20c a bunch
2 cans of garbanzo beans
1 package of tomatoes

I don't have shopping list, I’m resisting making a list. I just buy what I find are decent prices and fresh.That's some shopping list .... When I shop, if I need a list I need to much

we always make a list because that way we spend less.

I make a list for non pershables.
Doesn't make sense to do so for fruit, veg and meat as you just got to see whats available and at what price
(That's for my situation with out of season produce being crazy expensive)

I don’t buy on impulse anymore, I just study the weekly ad and buy what’s on sale.
Like I said before this is how control my inflation rate. I just totaled my budget for last year and this year, we already spent less than 15-20% from last year. We do the same thing every year, so I must not be spending more.

No budget here since I’m the wife, it’s just why throw money away if you don’t have to.I have a pretty strict budget as well - whatever my wife decides to spend
