Sorry I don’t like to live in a bush.
Not in a bush - in the bush - the country where the buffalo roam and the other part of that which I cant remember - wide open spaces, lovely animals that want to kill you, bugs and gremlins, all the wonders of a perfect life. How can you say to know to all of that????? :D :D :D

To be serious - everything that you hear about the Australian wildlife is pretty much true - we do have some of the worlds deadliest and nastiest critters.

What they don't tell you is the likely hood of you coming into contact with any of them is remote and there are any number of warnigm signs when it comes to beachs and so forth weart box jelly fish and croics are concerned.

Seriously, you have a better chance of being shot in the US than being killed by an Australian critter.

Someone would have some explaining to do then I'd imagine. Look tourists in Australia who venture up north and mess around the rivers up there (despite the signs telling them to stay away from the water) do get taken by a croc from time to time BUT that is their fault for not following the rules and ignoring the signs. These are wild crocs - not ones in a zoo or some amusement park.

All I am trying to say is don't let the stories and the wild aussie outback tradition bother you - the likely hood of anyone going to a place that is potentially dangerous if you aren't smart and use common sense is unlikely. Most tourist gravitate to Aussie NY - Sydney or the Gold Coast where the only dangerous thing there are the business owners trying to fleece the tourists :)

Seriously - dont try to play Crocodile Dundee and you'd be fine :)

Yeah, I've been told your salt water crocodiles are worse (even more agressive) than our Nile crocodiles!
That is what I believe as well. We have the most agressive crocs for some reason, not that I would want to tangle with any salty. That neing said I have inadvertently swam in water holes with fresh water crocs. So long as you dont stand on them they leave you alone :)
