What produce/ingredients did you buy or obtain today (2025)?

I bought this almost a year ago, but just opened it this week - maple syrup aged in bourbon casks. Absolutely incredible.

Skirt steak is for a leek recipe, and after reading about the ease of fast food fries in the air fryer, I’m giving Aldi’s brand a try.

MrsT normally orders her gum in bulk from Amazon, but it was cheaper at Kroger this time around.

I’m expecting that cider to taste like a can of perfume.

The irony of the 2 containers of half-n-half and then a half gallon of reduced fat milk above...

Coming from a girl who is about to go slather more butter on some waffles that already had a bunch of butter (along with full fat milk and yogurt) in the batter!

I also found it really interesting that NZ as a country actually does consume more dairy than the rest of the world and still manage to live to be in their 80s. So much for medical advise stating that Americans need to cut back on dairy. I think maybe they need to eat more!

I figured it would be the Scandinavian countries and the Netherlands topping the dairy eating countries...
Oh there up there, especially Denmark. I will see if I can find the article I was reading last night.

Edit: I was wrong according to a different article. It's Finland, Sweden and the Netherlands, but it also depends on whether one focuses on cheese or milk, and also whether it's the total country or per capita, and so forth.

Hey, TastyReuben , I'll trade ya one already marinated flat iron steak for that skirt steak.
And throw in that jar of Kalamata olives while you're at it

Quite the haul.
I wish I could run into a skirt steak.

Great pics.
That skirt steak is from Aldi. I’ve had good luck with their steaks lately. That one was $10.99/lb.
