What produce/ingredients did you buy or obtain today (2025)?

That skirt steak is from Aldi. I’ve had good luck with their steaks lately. That one was $10.99/lb.

Thanks. I have an Aldi. I've just never been in it.
Don't know all the rules :)
Pay for a cart? Bring your own bag?
About time I found out I guess.

On the Mexican grocer, I've never heard of one in my AO.
I'm not even sure the Asian market is still open. There was one. I still remember them changing their name from Oriental to Asian on the side of the building. But that was years ago and I don't get in that area much.

You put the quarter in to unlock it and get your quarter back when you take the cart back to the cart area. I sometimes just grab boxes (they usually have a "cage" with boxes in them) and I also take my own reusable bags. Aldi is awesome, love that store! Their grocery prices are comparable and often better than Walmart prices, with their store brands being of as good or better quality than WM's store brands. When my kids were living at home and I would buy them General Mills and Kellogg's, they would often ask for the Aldi version of the same cereals. Easier to get in and out of Aldi also. Love Aldi's cheese selections for sure!

Most towns have a Mexican or Hispanic grocery store, often in smaller areas of town away from the main grocery stores. We have a few Asian markets as well.
