You’re not far off at all. Saturday is the celebration potluck family gathering in memory of my mom, and one of the things I’m bringing* is a Mediterranean-inspired chopped salad.




*I say bringing, but the facility has a full commercial kitchen that we’re allowed to make use of, so I’ll make the salad there, so it can be as fresh as possible.

I had a visit from a good friend last weekend. Sander is Dutch, and probably the best chocolatier in Venezuela right now.
He came to try my Indian food with his family, and brought me some chocolate. Not just any chocolate, mind you; some of the finest (and most sought after) in the world.

Chuao is a tiny village on the coast of Venezuela, and can only be accessed by boat or on foot (or on a mule!).

The superior chocolate gift box looks amazing. I’d be very intrigued to try that nice chocolate and I think I could soon

No, bearings in the motor finally froze up and they quit making that model eons ago. I had a Fresh Roast sr350 which was replaced with the sr500 that's now been replaced with the sr800. They just keep getting bigger and more expensive. I'm over it.
