What produce/ingredients did you buy or obtain today (2025)?

Morelo's was right next to my Citgo audit so I got some cheese, trotters, and Pippi a smoked pork chop. Really like their mozzarella!

I like real bone-in smoked pork chops. I go to a Swiss pork store to get mine. Can’t stand those vacuum sealed crap chops they call smoked pork chops.

These are bone in! Pippi gets that center tender part what with her lack of teeth, I get the crispy bits on the outside and Ozzie gets the bone unless I need it for making broth. 👍

I was planning to go to the big supermarket because they sell Nori sheets and we haven’t got around to the deconstructed sushi yet.

But there’s a Nationwide co-ordinated strike today and the government have asked people to stay at home so I suspect the supermarket is shut.
It’s Spain so the only way of knowing is to go to the place and read a bit of paper they stick on the door with the opening hours on it!

Not food related.
How exciting, the courier just delivered the order I placed two days ago for these Mother’s Earth laundry sheets for washing machine

For the dryer I use a microfiber washcloth that's damp with vinegar. Those 'normal' dryer sheets have ingredients that will gum up the sensors in newer machines. FWIW.

I don’t think they’re dryer sheets Bazza.
They look like environmentally friendly laundry detergent sheets.

I'm lost...
What's a dryer sheet?
What's a laundry sheet?
I just know bed sheets and roofing sheets :)

I think Bazza might be referring to the stinky dryer sheets you throw in your tumble dryer for something or other (softness, smell? IDK), and mypinchofitaly has found some detergent sheets for the actual washing machine part of the process that means less plastic waste and they make environmentally friendly claims.

Yep. I don't use those stinky dryer sheets.
