We’ve been there many times. When we first moved to the UK in late-1992, it was top of the list for MrsT to visit - her Christmas gift (that she picked out herself) that year was a Hard Rock leather bomber jacket, which was definitely not cheap, and she still has it (but never wears it).The very first, one and only Hard Rock Café, opened in 1971.We'd queue outside for a table way back then at London University:

Were they totally void of alcohol and/or tasted awful?I’ve seen a lot of complaining about the addition of the mimosas and bloody marys.
I haven’t tried one…yet. MrsT likes eating there, so I’ll get a mimosa next time. Were they totally void of alcohol and/or tasted awful?
Too bad they don't have 1971 prices, huh?The very first, one and only Hard Rock Café, opened in 1971.We'd queue outside for a table way back then at London University:

Yeah I just can't figure out any other reason why people would complain. If they don't like them, they shouldn't order them. It's not like people are pounding them and getting hammered, and I am guessing they don't offer them on Sundays so the church going crowd can just give it a rest, eh?I haven’t tried one…yet. They don’t like it because Cracker Barrel is considered the famliest of family restaurants, and it’s morning booze to boot.Yeah I just can't figure out any other reason why people would complain.
And that's why evangelical Christians don't care for the Catholics so much. They don’t like it because Cracker Barrel is considered the famliest of family restaurants, and it’s morning booze to boot.
What next, wine in church? Oops…!
Yeah, it’s all the Pentecostals and Primitive Baptists around here raising hell. And that's why evangelical Christians don't care for the Catholics so much.
When I was studying in London in the early 70s, this was THE place to go. This was the perfect place to impress a prospective girlfriend or to celebrate a special occasion. Hard Rock echoed through the restaurant all day long and there were queues half a mile long outside, waiting to be seated.I've never been to a Hard Rock Cafe ...
I seem to remember going on a protest march in 1975. We were probably protesting about the awful cheese and onion rolls we had every day for lunch.I guess the "special occasion" was when the last lecture was done

Back then, the only "burgers"we could find were Wimpy's, and they were dire. A big, fat, juicy burger, straight off the grill, served with dill pickles and a little tray with ketchup, mayo and diced onions, plus a huge plate of "French Fries"was something totally exotic for us students. Add to that, the latest rock music reverberated all through the café at all times. The menu looks pretty generic but would like to give it a try just to say I have been.
