Whatcha drinking (2025)?

Heavy, muggy, and hot out, waiting on storms tonight, and having pina coladas on the front porch, listening to the overwhelming song of the cicadas. They really get going the hotter it gets.

Lilikoi aka Passion Fruit Mimosa (finally!) at lunch today ... MOST ONO (that's Hawaiian for delicious)!!
I like the orchid on the stem of the wine glass, nice touch AND we're back in own stomping grounds, NOT Waikiki!

New city, new beer.
Since were a few miles from the nearest supermarket and I have no intention of walking "a few miles" in 85F and 90% humidity, I have to rely on sonny's trips to the supermarket to buy anything. We went yesterday (because it was my birthday) and I settled on a selection from Creature Comforts brewers. 4 different IPAs.
I'm a bit wary of American IPAs because (a) they have really wierd names which completely fail to reflect the brew (b) they tend to go ballistic on the hop content (AABW), which often results in an intensely unpleasant bittersweet floral bouquet (somewhat akin to eating a bunch of carnations, roses, jasmine, phlox and gardenias) and (c) you never know if they're going to have banana, cinnamon, cloves, garlic, fish sauce, coriander seeds or cacao nibs added.
This time, I was delighted. The three I've tried so far are delicious ( although the Flash Cat weighs in at a whopping 8% alcohol); just the right balance of hoppiness, bitter enough for an IPA and, even the hazy version, a good beverage.
