Whatcha drinking (2025)?

In Oz - Victoria Bitter. In the UK - Stella. In the us - Bud Light, and YES it is a beer! Although now it is winter and bloody cold I prefer Captain Morgan Darke Rum and Coke - NO ice ;)

Never had Victoria bitter but I'm very happy to drink Stella and Bud Light. They are lagers which is obviously a type of beer. I like that sort of beer in the summer if its hot.

Not drinking all in one go, but these are the Christmas beers I purchased at there weekend.

I've always found it weird that Stella is so popular in the UK.
It's Belgian, but not drunk a lot over there. Not in the Netherlands either
Then you used to have Oranjeboom in the UK. A Dutch lager, that hardly anyone drink in the Netherland :)

Popular lagers in NL are Heineken, Amstel, Grolsch, Hertog Jan, Bavaria

Among the beer-drinking set here, Stella is seen as either a posh-but-still-affordable choice for the discerning beer drinker, or a generic beer for posers. It’s frequently the only “good” beer on a tap here, where a smaller bar might have Bud, Bud Light, Busch Light, Mich Ultra, and Stella.

I have no problem drinking it, I don’t mind it at all, but I’d see it as a very middle-of-the-road beer - it’s not bad, but it’s not great.

I think it was the beer of choice for so called 'lager louts' in the past. Its mild tasting, easy to drink and its possible to drink lots of it quite quickly.

I like it because its clean tasting and refreshing. But I also like deep dark beers. And a good pint of bitter.
