What's For Dessert?

I love lemon cheesecake. A racing function i attended about 10 years ago they had lemon cheesecake along with others. I reckon I ate half that cake.
It was soooooo good

I've never met a cheesecake I didn't like. I sometimes get a cheesecake sampler that has 2 slices of 4 different kinds of cheesecake: strawberry swirl, raspberry compote, turtle (caramel, chocolate, and pecan), and something else I can't remember. Might have been peanut butter. The lemon sounds wonderful! I bet msmofet and Windigo can make them.

I'm just not certain if it's going to be a good one or not, I know that at the Asian store they would probably be top notch but I got this from a regular grocery store. I'll let y'all know.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad one. They were popular in the supermarkets here for a while.
They varied a bit in the same way most fruits do, sometimes they are really sweet, sometimes sharper, sometimes a bit soft, sometimes firmer but everytime worth an eat.

I bought a dragon fruit the other day for the first time,
I hope you enjoyed it!
When they're perfectly ripe, they are wonderful, exotic, sweet/sour and delicious.
If they're not, they tend to be a little "meh". I just hope your's was ripe.
I imagine yours was red/purple. We get one over here called pitahaya - basically the same, but yellow. Amazing fruits.

I bought a dragon fruit the other day for the first time, DH and I have never eaten one to our knowledge. I have seen mixed reviews online about them. Not sure what I will do with it, maybe cut it up and make a smoothie with it along with strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, I dunno. I will of course taste a slice of it just to see how it is by itself first.
My experience has been very hit and miss, mostly miss. I may not know how to ripen them properly. We don't bother buying them because they rarely seen to have any taste at all, but coming home from Hong Kong on the last leg of our flight home from the UK, we were served several fruit salads with Dragon fruit in it and it tasted wonderful. I think it's like melon (concept) it's either hard and no flavour, or 30 seconds to eat it before it goes bad...
