I have several, but my favorite is very heavy and I keep it on my mobile-wheeled chopping island (granite topped) next to my knife block.  But, most of the time I put those plastic sheets over the top of the wooden board when I am using it, especially if I am cutting or working with something smelly like fish, garlic, or onions.  I put those in the dishwasher for sterilization when finished.
