Recipe Yellow cherry plum jam

I made jam!!! My first attempt. I've discovered two yellow cherry trees in my new garden and this was the fruit from one tree (the other is sheltered and the fruit is not yet ripe)

I followed the recipe on the back of the bag of jam sugar. 1:1 sugar to fruit. Simmered for about 30 mins.

To add photos there are several ways. Try this: add a new post to this thread and click on 'Attach files' (bottom left of your post before you post it). Navigate to the photos you want to display and choose. Photo then appears bottom left of your post. Click on insert, then 'full image'. Then post.

I found out today the fruit is Cherry Plums, which explains why they taste of plums . I'll edit the title.

I did wonder! I'll bet they are delicious. Apparently there are yellow cherries but they are mainly grown in the USA. I'm not sure the climate is right here.
