This is last year on the Island of Pag. There are very few people but thousands of sheep. The cheeses win multiple European awards, the lamb is not as good as Welsh lamb in our opinion but is beautiful. We will visit at the end of this month to buy cheese and a whole lamb carcass. In 2017, Paška sirana also received gold medals in two categories at the Global Cheese Awards in Somerset. They were winners in the Best Sheep Cheese category and in the Best in category which included all sheep cheeses in the competition, surpassing both the popular manchego from Spain and pecorino from Italy.
