Friday and Saturday just keeps getting wetter

We’re getting the same storm system as Tasty, although not as bad. 25-40 mm of rain today, and rain most of yesterday as well.

Calm so far today (except steady rain) but lots of gusting wind last night.

Darn it. My 4×4 just failed her rego (MOT equivalent) so is off the road for a week until the parts are available. I knew the handling had deteriorated, now I know why... the rear shocks have worn out. They've only done 425,000km.

73F two nights ago, 31F today and woke up to snow.

Seeing my doctor coming Tuesday to discuss how to progress with new meds or possibly something else.

Thankfully, I had some cash on me, so I left her a tip on the bar, but I thought that was very sweet of her.

Yer has been about a few years now.
Some people find the constant bombardment to buy cards and gifts for parents who have passed away too much.

It made me sad after my mom passed away in 2015...for several years after. I've gotten used to it.

At first, I was pleased with myself, because I thought, “She’s obviously sincere and not just complimenting in the moment for a better tip…she’s indicated I don’t need to leave a tip!”

Then I started thinking about it on the drive home, and that little voice in my head said, “Get over yourself, Romeo, she’s obviously playing the long game - she knows you’re in here once a month…she’s forfeited this tip, knowing you’re a sucker who’ll tip twice as much from now on. Well played, Cassandra…well played.”
