What did you cook, eat or drink today (October 2018)?

I almost can't eat cottage pie without a hot sauce any longer. I've grown accustomed to using (wimpy) Tobasco since that was often the only hot sauce available in my local pub where they had great shepherd's and cottage pies.

Oh, the above mentioned is more like a gravy you make. It's also a PP recipe that is paired with another recipe or 2 in PP's book.

Made some soft rolls:

And then a beef, gherkin, tomato roll:

Cuban bread? It looks as if its a filled bread.

Filled with butter. LOL. Cuban bread is shaped like a huge baguette, soft, airy, holey inside with a thin crisp crust. Depending on size of loaf, you slice in half or thirds horizontally, slather with melted butter, put it back together, flatten it slighly drizzle butter on outsides and rub to spread evenly, wrap in foil and bake at 375 for about 20 minutes. Lots of calories, fat and carbs, but oh so good once in a while.

Yum. I want to make biscuits now.

Last night was a beef mince noodle veggie stir fry with a little spice from Szechuan pepper.

Tonight will be pork steaks, crushed potato, salad of rocket, pear, blue & walnuts.
