What did you cook, eat or drink today (October 2018)?

My wife made a roast lemmon pepper chicken, mashed, and Le Sewer peas.

That's the first thing that I thought as she took it out of the oven.

Alas, my wife is a fan of convenience (my fault, really, for having not shown her how to deglaze with a little stock, or wine, add a roux or starch slurry, butter, and so on), so we had some artisnal chicken gravy from a jar.

Artisnal, in this case, means too much rosemary.
 
Late home today to discover that the Hainanese chicken shop was closed and the Fat Lady's restaurant was closed (another Buddhist holiday). Stuck with cheese on toast again (almost in the dark).
