Air fryer cooking

It has been used a couple of times but you all know what a hot buttered crumpet looks like so no pics. Today I bought a packet mix for bread so will give that a try maybe next weekend.
 
I think an obvious question - which is better Air Frying or the good old fashioned Deep Frying. In other words, which method does the better and most useful.

My thoughts are the traditional deep fryer because I can't see how you could possible air fry banana fritters or anything with a batter?

Not a fair question. Both frying methods employ different heat transfer media which determines many elements of the item to be fried. Just because fry is a common element word to both techniques doesn't mean they're synonymous.

I think the problem is the word 'frying'! Air fryers don't fry the food at all. They bake it.
