S for Scuol, in SE Switzerland, and San Miguel de Allende, in Mexico.
Scuol is a small mediaeval village at the foot of the Alps. Only 7 miles from Italy - but you have to cross the Alps first.

We ate very well, including a meal in the castle, but the one thing I remember was the Appenzeler cheese. Just utterly unbelievable. By the way, in Scuol, they speak Reto-Romansch.

San Miguel de Allende is a small town about 3 hours from Mexico city to the north. We ate one spectacular meal in a rooftop restaurant called "Quince". Here are some of the dishes:
