That was probably about or just under a quarter of a tomato. Love having tomato chunks in my chili!!!
My mom always put home-canned tomatoes (and their juice, obviously) in her chili, and the way she canned her tomatoes, they were pretty much stewed tomatoes, with celery and onion in there as well. Worked out well, and I’ll sometimes use supermarket stewed tomatoes to chili.
I was referring to the slices of tomato. If I use tomatoes in chili, I use diced tomatoes. A lot of people use tomato sauce. Seeing a big slice of tomato surprised me.

Boy!! I LOVE chilli!! I just had some at a resturant the other night with some crackers!!!
