Lovely. Cooked lettuce is a favourite of mine. The sauce is similar to peas a la Francaise in that respect. Did you use the asparagus?

No asparagus. Although a favourite vegetable of mine there was none in the house. Hence the phrase "inspiration from" ; the meal was not an exact copy of the recipe. Nathan Outlaw is great fish chef and I use his recipes as a basis of a meal.
