Our tree. I finally managed to get it completed today in amongst all the cooking and juggling of newly hatched (bantam) chicks!

After our first Christmas in Australia, hubby commented that it didn't feel very Australian. So I made up some Australian Christmas stockings for the following year and following the Swedish tradition of opening the gifts on Christmas Eve, the stockings arrived. This is their 3rd Christmas (and everyone in our family now has one. There are 4 in the series in total. )

We bought it many years ago now but find it so very useful and easy to use despite its age. The tree stands on a metal spike in a container that holds water. The sides of the tree are clamped together by matching wood that surrounds the tree trunk at the bottom and they are in turn held in place by screws, a total of 4. It is starting to show its age, but i reckon it will see us through.
I forgot to include my last ornament pic! Here it is, a plastic one from Hallmark, but we like it. I even included the little story on the side. Not sure when we bought this one:
