Ice Cream - Your Favorite Flavor?

@detroitdad - we went to the museum today and I knew the exhibit would take a couple of hours. The wife wanted a quick ice cream, so I settled for that and had mint chocolate chip.

But I've just read about some of the new flavours Booja Booja have introduced since we left the UK and I'm going to have to review all my choices when I very back to the UK in a few weeks time. The diet will be on hold for the duration.

Raspberry Ripple
Chocolate Salted Caramel
Hazelnut Chocolate Truffle
Caramel Pecan Praline (not as keen)

But I'll have to try the old favourites to compare:
Hunky Punky Chocolate
Keep Smiling Vanilla M'Gorilla

They all sound so good. The names make me laugh sometimes, like Hunky Punky & M'Gorilla. I think there's a Chunky Monkey. Lol

Equal 2 faves are apricot crush and lime.
Then hokey pokey then vanilla.
If we have friends over its plain vanilla with raspberry coulis. It's yum.

Mmmmmm.
What's in a Hokey Pokey? Haha

Speaking of Gelato - reminds me of an Italian coffee dessert called Affogato. A scoop of Vanilla gelato or ice cream "drowned" with a shot of hot Espresso poured over the top. Sometimes Amaretto is added too.

It's honeycomb, I guess you'd call it butterscotch, ?? It's small pieces in vanilla ice cream. I think it's a kiwi thing. It's yummy.

Not an original Maori Haka, but it is a song and a dance!

Everybody form a circle
Put your left foot in
Your left foot out
Your left foot in
And shake it all about
You do the hokey pokey
And turn yourself around
Now put your right foot in
Your right foot out
Right foot in
Then you shake it all about
And then you do the hokey pokey
Turn yourself around
That's what it's all about
You put your head in
You put your head out
Put your head in
And bang it all about
Do the hokey pokey
And turn yourself around
That's what it's all about
Let's do the hokey pokey!
Let's do the hokey pokey!
Let's do the hokey pokey!
That's what it's all about
Put your right hand in
Your right hand out
Your right hand in
And shake it all about
You do the hokey pokey
And you turn yourself around
Now put your tongue in
And your tongue out
Tongue in
And…

Actually vanilla is my favorite flavor- provided it is made by an Italian gelatria. Because that can be superb and refined, the craftsman shows his skills best by doing simple things well. My favorite salon uses some lemon peel in their vanilla ice cream (I am the only one who tasted it in 20 years, the owner said) and it makes all the difference!

If the icecream is less refined, I like flavors like raspberry ripple and strawberry cheesecake.

Well, I thought that was hokey tokey, or was that at Woodstock? Lols.

There's a place in America somewhere called Gilroy that is supposedly semi-famous for their garlic ice-cream. I imagine you'd have to go heavy on the sweet component to counteract the bitter.
