I don't think that qualifies as vegan.
Though I have to say it is protein.
The I was worried I might get impregnated gave me a head shake.

So does her premise of its health and skin care benefits have any real scientific foundation, or is it just another duff article to get ad clicks?

The latter I think! But there are certain properties contained therein: Proteolytic enzymes, which are designed to dissolve proteins, plus zinc, magnesium, calcium, potassium and fructose in small amounts.

I'll stick to oysters, which coincidentally are also very high in zinc.
