Meltable Vegan Cheeses, Desiring to Find?

I have no idea if these are possible, but I'd love to know if there are vegan cheeses meeting the following critieria:

  • Vegan.
  • NO tree nuts (maybe almonds)
  • NO TVP or other ingredients created in the last 50 years.
  • Meltable.
Not specifically for me, but for anyone whom I want to serve a good melty dish down the road. Meltable is critical, and being tree-nut free is also here.

I'll have to check ingredients, along with meltability.
 
I second violife. The grated cheddar style is reasonably meltable and their cream cheese us hood and is good in sauces. Not cheese, but mostly do a creme fraise substitute that is great.
 
It has been a while since I posted here, but I'm aiming for an early-mid March taste testing of recipes - or trying out commercial cheeses without tree nuts or a bunch of ingredients that remind me of fast food. The Mozz recipe Morning Glory posted up is first on the agenda.

I do have a recipe I developed for a vegan nut free cheese sauce. The sort of thing you would make for Macaroni Cheese or Cauliflower cheese. Basically a Vegan Mornay sauce. Would that be of interest?
 
The feta cheese I used when making a tribute recipe (see Tex-Mex Stuffed Peppers by Mountain Cat ) is fairly melt-able.
In particular, I have found the Violife Feta cheese works very well in baked Italian dishes like lasagna or baked spaghetti.

  • Filtered Water
  • Coconut Oil
  • Potato Starch
  • Salt (Sea Salt)
  • Glucono Delta Lactone ( What is GDL? )
  • Flavor (vegan sources)
  • Olive Extract
  • Vitamin B12

Btw, I am in a cooking club where our next challenge is to find substitutes for things (not necessarily vegan or such) and I think I want to try dairy cheese subs for the challenge. I will be cooking the mozzeralla-style for sure, and would like to try your cheese sauce as well. I'll likely put it on Cauliflower.

Sorry - I have such a backlog of unposted/un-typed up recipes. I will definitely post the recipe later tonight or tomorrow. You will need a few specialist ingredients which are more or less vegan store cupboard essentials: truffle oil, nutritional yeast & aminos. I fear you may not have them/be able to get them?

I can try an online order. Our "get together" is not until the 11th, but I do need to test things out in advance - say by midweek before.
