MSG: is it a gourmet seasoning?

That’s the one I have. I use Maggi very often. I love it in salad dressing, steak dipping sauce, sometimes in stir fry if I run out of soy sauce, eggs, burgers, steak, mushrooms, etc.

That's the one I keep next to the stove that I brought from Las Vegas. I didn't know if I could get that in GA so I also have an 800ml bottle in the pantry...

I don’t buy the small bottles. I used buy the large bottle from a Chinese restaurant. I’ve found it in Asian grocery stores and of all places a Swiss Pork Store. I went to get real bone-in smoked pork chops (not those wanna be vacuum packed ones) and I spotted the large bottle. Also found my Hungarian paprika there. Need to make a run to that store soon. If I can’t find it locally Amazon has it.

How I love the internet!
According to Medical News Today, table salt has about 40% sodium, whereas MSG has around 12%.
My theory, which I formulated about 5 minutes ago, is that MSG has a bad rap only because of a medical team composed of 1 Australian, 1 Englishman and 1 New Zealander. They came to the conclusion that MSG has too much gluten, mate.
