Onions as a main or side dish

I love this idea - but is 10 minutes enough to cook that onion through?

In a preheated fan oven at 200 ten minutes seems to be ideal to keep the onion firm and slightly sharp to compliment the cranberry, but agree that a longer time is better for a softer sweeter onion. I tend to prefer the sharper taste though.Also, it helps if you have a sharp serrated steak knife to cut into the cooked onion to prevent the Brie squashing out too much.
