Mod.edit: this mod. loves quiche! So I moved all 36 posts from 'what did you cook today' thread to new topic (MG).

I've just been grazing on leftovers. I had some leftover quiche earlier. Here's a couple photos (I made it yesterday). It was ham, gouda, gruyere, and veggies. The crust was a little dark on the edges but it was really tasty.

Later I had some Panda Express teriyaki chicken, then a small piece of leftover ribeye steak.

Isn't quiche one of those dishes you usually need one of those ring things for the crust?

Makes no diff. You can bake a quiche in pretty much anything 😅

When you have an outer crust. Mine barely had any edges because of the dish I chose to use. But it didn't taste burnt and was still delicious.
Dish looks totally fine and good to me! I often use a similar dish or sometimes a tart case with a removable bottom or a pie dish or baking pan or anything 😁

I wouldn't say so...
To me, a quiche has cheese in the mix
A fritatta has eggs
But there is a definite overlap.
I may be horribly wrong though
No, not all quiches have cheese. Pretty sure it's the crust or lack thereof. Also, cooking method and vessel. Quiches are usually cooked in a pie pan or some kind of baking vessel. Fritattas are usually cooked in a skillet or similar type pan, as they are started on the stovetop.

I suppose I have to find my Larousse and check ;)
But that's for tomorrow
