Sad to toss food through a lack of diligence on the producers part butOh no, I went to my other fridge to get my shrimp and the bag says Waterfront, I thought I have 2 bags form First Street. I may have to check with Smart and Final to see if they carry this brand or not. Maybe I bought it from Albertson’s, not sure if I have the receipt anymore.
The above article says to throw the bag out.
Seems to happen a fair bit tho.Sad to toss food through a lack of diligence on the producers part buthappens.
You should get a refund. I'm pretty sure all stores will refund. I've taken recalled items back to Sam's (salmonella charcuterie and carrotsThey are selling it as cooked shrimp at Albertsons, I just saw the weekly ad, I might call the manager to see if I get a refund, otherwise, I might use it as fertilizer, fish fertilizer.
I don’t have a receipt anymore, but I will call them ahead to ask.You should get a refund. I'm pretty sure all stores will refund. I've taken recalled items back to Sam's (salmonella charcuterie and carrots) and received refunds.
Not sure about using it as fertilizer. The affected shrimp would've likely have eaten, or lived in, the polluted place. You'll end up eating some too if used as fertilizer but not likely as much as eating the shrimp. My 2 cents FWIW...They are selling it as cooked shrimp at Albertsons, I just saw the weekly ad, I might call the manager to see if I get a refund, otherwise, I might use it as fertilizer, fish fertilizer.
All the stores keep a record of everything everyone buys. They're able to look it up easily if you remember the date plus it's their store brand - they'll know about the recall fer shure. Lotta recalled shrimp thereI don’t have a receipt anymore, but I will call them ahead to ask.
