Recipe Salsa de Cacahuate (Peanut Salsa)

Ingredients:
1 Pasilla chile, toasted
1/4 red onion
1/2 fresh tomato
3 tbsps peanut butter
Salt to taste
Olive oil to thin

Method:
Remove the seeds from the Pasilla chile. Dry fry (ie. no oil) the onion and tomato for a minute or so. Then place all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
 
This looks good. And, another quality I like: it's easy. I can see spinning it up with 1 teaspoon to start, then gradually adding more to see what it does. This would be an easy (and tasty) science experiment. It looks like I could use an Anaheim pepper if I can't find a Pasilla.
 
I think my stepson would like this with a little heat. He likes peppers for the sake of heat. He also loves peanut butter.
