Sandwiches

The first I heard of coronation chicken was yesterday.
I don't think that your son will feel shortchanged ;)

Coronation chicken is on my list of things to make next time I have chicken that aren't wings.
There are lots of differing recipes for it but how can you go wrong with a curry sandwich? 😊

I used to eat a version of this as a kid. Pizza subs and pizza sandwiches. The sandwiches came on huge round buns. Like 6in in diameter. I had Italian bread on hand.
When I was a kid, the school cafeteria would serve pizza burgers maybe twice a month - supermarket white hamburger bun, low-quality pre-formed burger patty, pizza sauce, and mozzarella cheese…sounds pretty lame, but every kid bought school lunch on pizza burger day!

NOOOOOOO! 😂
You’re missing out. Try sticking some tomatoes (very lightly salt n peppered into your ham sandwich, I’m sure you’ll be a convert to having a fresh element in there.
I do make banh mi etc, but I don't consider them a sandwich.
And I'm very happy with my salami sandwich :)

Barn mi is a sandwich in my book.
And I'm very happy with my salami sandwich :)
Sorry I just can’t accept it, it doesn’t compute, it’s against my religion (if I had one), I’m going to have to go away and cry for your salami sandwiches 😂

I like hard salami sandwiches. Sometimes I put ketchup on them. Sometimes mayo. Sometimes mayo and cream cheese. And sometimes there's nothing between the bread but the salami.
But I used to eat white bread and pepperoni when younger. The bread in one hand, and the pepperoni in the other.

Italian bread and a heel of genoa salami, sopressata, or pepperoni, one in each hand.
I eat genoa on a roll no condiment.

Yep, simple sandwiches are great, too. Sometimes, I like my bologna with lettuce, tomato, dill pickle slices, raw onion, cheese, mustard on one slice of bread, mayonnaise on the other, but other days…three slices of bologna fried in the skillet, cheap white bread, and a smear of bright yellow mustard. That’s it.

Your sandwiches all look much more "complicated" than mine.
2 slices toasted bread, salami, paté or ham and that's it.
Unless it's a toasted sandwich

Toasted ham and cheese with bacon cheese sauce!

Now your talking.
Or... fried baloney AND fried salami put on a slice of Swiss cheese on a club roll. Looks like I added lettuce to this one, too.
