Not a fan of tomato ketchup and definitely not of mayo either.
I do like pickles though. The ones we can get here are normally sweet & sour, so I pour of some liquid and replace with vinegar to make them edible

(Side story: my jar of cucumber pickles (glass jar of about 1.5 ltr) was stolen by baboons while on safari. We got it back the next day. Apparently the baboons didn't know how to open it and didn't smash it)

I'm a bit confused as to who was on safari, baboons on safari would be crazy so I'm thinking while you were on safari they pinched them from your home.
The only alternative is you took a 1.5 litre jar of pickles on safari with you, if that's the case you have nothing but my admiration, I salute you

I took a big jar with me.... Got a big car, and I do like pickles
And the baboons stole it from my campsite. They also stole a tub of sugar and a pita bread.
Now the last (pita bread) I can understand. The gherkins were in a glass jar, so maybe they recoognised it as edible?
The sugar was in a closed tub. Not see through...

Yes corn dogs get a place in a lot of american tv.
As a kid I always thought corn dogs were some mystical food, then when I knew what they were I thought they were simply odd, then I realised they're not far off the battered sausage our fish n chip shops sell

The first and only time I had a corn dog was at Dorney Park (amusement park). It was disgusting! So greasy, one bite, and it squirted hot grease. I don't think the fry cook knew what he/she was doing. I have never tried another, that's how turned off I was. That was about 20+ years ago.
Sounds like a good idea. A hot dog dipped in corn bread batter and deep-fried. If done properly, might be good.

Battered sausages tend to be very greasy here too. I had the same experience decades ago and could not see any attraction in eating oil.
But then they appeared on that gluten free menu at the fish n chip shop and as gluten free takeaway offerings are very limited I decided to give it another try.
Wow it was worlds apart from the first grossly greasy one I tried, completely unrelated.
Super crispy, not greasy and the batter was a delight.
