Ginger-Lime Hummus
I fact, I've made this dish several times since!

Oh, that sounds good!

I boiled my chickpeas yesterday. Put a couple of portions in the freezer and now I gotta decide what to make with them....
(Chickpeas freeze very well, so I always boil a big batch)

I do this all the time, mostly because when I make a recipe that calls for any sort of bean, I have a load of dried ones in my garage pantry.
I'll put a double batch in the Instant Pot® aka pressure cooker, use what I need and freeze the leftovers for another time. Very cost effective as well. 1 pound of dried beans equals 4 cans, the price comparison: 4 cans @ 86¢ per vs. 1 pound of dried @ $1.28

Agree on cost effective. I've got canned for emergencies but pretty much always cook from dried and have around a dozen varieties to choose from. 👍
