Back from holidays, 4 days in Aruba and 4 days in Rome, and had an amazing time in both places!

Aruba was all about lounging on the beach doing nothing all day  And Rome was all about walking and eating! And what a gorgeous city! Looks like an open air museum, all the buildings are so beautiful and full of history, even the trash cans look beautiful!

And the food? I don't know how people can be thin in Rome, the food is delicious!

Now I'm back to normal life and will be eating a diet of salad and water until the end of the year

Hope they can help you better now

Sounds like a weird cyberattack

Not a cyberattack, a vulture attack. When my bank account changed, my bill didn't get paid, and my website address became open. The Chinese can't make money without using slave labor or ripping people in the US and Europe off. So, they got my web address, and turned it into a porn site.

DD and I took a nice ride upstate NY. The trees are starting to turn colors. It was a beautiful fall day.

My ex-wife and I used to go camping in Arkansas in early November to see the fall color. We would take my truck down the fire roads into the wilderness and set up camp (perfectly legal). It was beautiful, and so peaceful.

I went for a walk at lunchtime to view the 'damage'.

The first photo, the depth washed away is 50cm or 18 inches. It's about ⅓ to ½ of the oncoming traffic's lane. The letterbox at the top right is ours.

Boulders were littering the road until we cleared them at multiple locations, but you still can't get a city car along this road and won't be able to for some time. There are areas further away from our house that are much worse.

The last photo is our track entrance onto the dirt road. Needless to say, only one side is useable by most vehicles currently. The rain has actually exposed the drainage tunnel... that drop might not look deep but even a 4×4 risks nose diving into the road I'm standing on. The channel exposed by water is about 1m lower than it should be. Our entrance is normally flat. And where you can see the drainage channel, that's about 30-45cm or 12-18 inches deep. All of our rocks are in the photo above! Lol.

I was shocked to go to the supermarket and find out that sugar is now selling for 1,49€/kg, up from 0,89€ last week. And of course, it's the same price in every supermarket. Absolutely unbelievable how the price of everything keeps going up and up with no signs of stopping 😔😔😔

Wow...I can't believe over a month has passed. I'm long overdue in saying this, so here goes. No, I'm not "leaving", but I will have reduced availability for a while.

I work for Ford Motor Company. I'm relieved to say that this is still something I can say in the present tense. At the end of August, over 3000 of my coworkers were "laid off" (a nicer-sounding term for "fired" or "forced to retire"). I lost so many friends I can't begin to count. While this has taken an emotional toll, someone still needs to do the work. I have had to pick up work on programs I haven't supported in a while, or haven't supported at all before (like fully battery operated vehicles). This is requiring a lot of my time.

You may have noticed my time stamps tend to be mostly during my working day. This may still be possible, but I've been so busy lately I'm not sure when. I have been trying to post an entry in the Beer recipe challenge for the past 2 weeks, and most likely it won't get posted before the challenge ends.

It feels like the weight is starting to lift, slightly, as I become more familiar with the new programs, and as I embrace the "24 hour office". I will still get back into things as time permits, but I'm not sure when or to what extent.

Thank you, as always, for all the support. Hopefully, I'll be able to start posting again. In the meantime, I will continue to pop in from time to time, and see your amazing creations and entertaining ideas.

For comparison its 75p (ish) a kilo in the UK which is the same as your previous price of 0,89€. I use so little sugar that it won't matter to me if it rises but I guess its and indicator of inflation.

Sorry to hear all this. I hope things settle down for you soon.
