Well I'm cock-a-hoop.
My son had a job interview over a week ago for a job he genuinely really wants and they rang today to offer it to him
I saw the sheer joy on his face that he was going to do something he really likes doing.
The depression that's been hovering like a dark cloud because he'd accepted a job offer for something he doesn't want to do just dissipated into the ether and the smiley boy (man) is back!
I'm feeling very proud of him, in-spite of feeling blue he really dug deep, put himself out there, gave a cracking interview (for a job he doesn't actually have the right degree for) and got it.
And (sorry more braggy sounding stuff, I'm just very, very happy) he had the gumption to say yes I really would like the job but I have another job offer so could you let me have the contract and joining information and I'll check it over and let you know tomorrow. Much savvier than me at 23 for sure.
