The Good News Thread

Well I'm cock-a-hoop.
My son had a job interview over a week ago for a job he genuinely really wants and they rang today to offer it to him 👏

I saw the sheer joy on his face that he was going to do something he really likes doing.
The depression that's been hovering like a dark cloud because he'd accepted a job offer for something he doesn't want to do just dissipated into the ether and the smiley boy (man) is back!

I'm feeling very proud of him, in-spite of feeling blue he really dug deep, put himself out there, gave a cracking interview (for a job he doesn't actually have the right degree for) and got it.

And (sorry more braggy sounding stuff, I'm just very, very happy) he had the gumption to say yes I really would like the job but I have another job offer so could you let me have the contract and joining information and I'll check it over and let you know tomorrow. Much savvier than me at 23 for sure. ❤️
 
I got some good news!!

I now have a housekeeper who will help me keep the apt clean!! He started cleaning it the other day. And he's very good!!! It's like he saw dirt that I never even knew existed here!! He'll be coming every Thurday to help me keep the apt clean. Other tenants have house keepers as well. I got a good one!! :whistling:

My eldest son finished his first week at work and arrived here Friday for some celebrations. He’s had a cracking first week, has been repeatedly told how pleased they are with how quickly he’s picked things up, he suggested a design change to the computers workings which they loved and approved straight away.
He is positively illuminated when he’s talking about it. It’s just so lovely to see his eye’s shining and the pride he takes in it.

He said everyone who works there is very proud of the work they do which is just lovely.

They also told him at the beginning of the week they have acquired another building and will be splitting the staff, the more experienced people will be moving to work on something called ‘Black Core’
They were kindly letting him know he was recruited to fill a learner role to free up more experienced staff - ie you are staying here.

But by the end of the week they were so happy with him they told him on Friday they will be start training him for ‘Black Core’ on Monday.
Very happy!
