What’s going on in your garden (2025)?

1985, , , bought galvanized spiral tomato stakes. I use them in a tripod manner - tied together at the top for support.
couple years back I wire brushed off the soil ends and gave them a paint job . . .

what , , , 40 years later . . . still using them.
I'd probably like those but can't afford them and the bamboo is free in the ROW on the side of the road. 👍

That's what I use. There's enough bamboo here for me to build a house; but that's not going to happen.
With the tomatoes, I train them up a few canes and then just wind a bit of twine around (the canes) to more or less keep them under control, so they don't fall to the ground.

Yes, a bit of twine to guide and a strip of cotton cloth around the vine so it doesn't get cut. 👍

Haven't had shishito peppers since 2021, my last summer in 'Vegas, and now I just harvested these from the back yard!!!

My garden was needing some mulch. I'm more inclined to cover most of the weeds with mulch and let that kill them rather than pull them and then later in the year I till it all anyway. My soil is getting more productive for the plants and there's less pests with the tilling.

Another load brought down the hill.

Some around the squash and watermelons.

I've just spent 4 hours in the garden.
Weeded a little patch I've got up top and filled a rubbish bag with the weeds. Tropical climates are very unforgiving.
Found a stray tomato plant (thanks, birds!) in the bromeliad patch and replanted it up there; planted some galangal and turmeric roots; half-cleaned out the shed, and now I'm done for the rest of the day.
