The triffids, actually called naked ladies (or belladonna) over here but in the UK I knew them as Amaryllis. These are decades old. Some bulbs are as big as a dinner plate, and the smallest are side plate size bulbs. They typically have 15-20 trumpets per spike with bulbs having multiple spikes.
 
I harvested my first lime of the season :)

Harvested all green beans, even baby ones. I got black bean aphids and am now pondering what to spray them with. My neem is finished, so probably a chili concoction or some biomagic
The ants are the real problem as they farm the aphids, so I'll try spray the soil as well as the plants

Butternuts are going well and we spotted the first pumpkin

I have one in a pot indoors which just flowered. Will try to post a picture tomorrow.

Can you get Castille soap? It's insecticidal. If not you can use regular dish soap but mix it up strong; like 1 Tbsp per 1/2 qt. water and spray on the aphids. It will asphyxiate them. I'd use sodium teyraborate on the ants, 20 Mule Team Borax, borax, all the same stuff. Holler if you need directions on any of that.

No worries, I know most of them.
Killing the back aphids is relatively easy.
But it's the ants that are a problem as they farm them.
And I can get rid of the ants, but I do not want to use termidan because of bothme and the dogs.
So I only use liquid soap, biomagic, neem, chili's, garlic, vinegar and bicarb.
But not all at once :)

I actually spotted something about pawpaw leaves and going to find out if there is any truth in that...

Ours are all the same colour but they look fabulous together.

At the last count, there were over 200 flower spikes all over the garden. We've dug bulbs up and given 3 black bin loads away this year.
 
The 5 chicks. There's an adult aruancana in there as well called bluebell. She has no tail feathers at the moment because she has started to moult.

The one there at the front we had down as a cockerel but it is no longer bigger than the other chicks, it had no tail feathers at all yet, it's not crowing despite being the only potential cockerel in the chook house it sleeps in and out doesn't behaviour like one, so we're no longer certain.

This girl is yeti. I've no idea what she'll end up called but she's shy and elusive (to humans) most of the time. She's also the only chick that will dare to try grabbing treats of the adult chooks.

the one at the front, is my dumb blond chick. She's very feminine, with a slight frame, slight legs and definitely has that feminine look.

The black and white (mostly black with some white) in the middle at the back, we have 2 of. One is slight and had feeding issues. We'll have to keep an eye on her beak as she grows. The other we nearly lost to hyperthermia after she hatched but managed to save. She's got 2 curled toes but they don't seem to affect her thankfully).

Blueberry is in the biddies front with the sticking up single tail feather. She's now smaller than the chicks and she's the larger of the 2 adults in the bantam chook house.

The other 3 chicks are totally elusive. They are the first chicks we've had that when we have moved them to the main chook coup have stayed up there and won't free range! Totally odd but the cockerel up there is the likely cause of stopping the two pullets from joining the test of the flock.
