What’s going on in your garden (2025)?

I would be very afraid to live in a middle of 93 acres, even one acre is too much for me.
What's scary? Just you and the critters, mostly. I guarantee *nobody* comes down these long driveways unless USPS, UPS, or FedEx, and they all know the dogs! 😁

Cool backyard...

Well, not often, but there’s always a nut case on the loose somehow. I can see why people carry guns in some part of our country.
The police is too far away to help you.

You know goats pee on their chins right? It's a smell thing for the other goats.
Ahh nope, I didn't know that ........... and ahh still wish I didn't :)

Nothing better than being in the middle of no where - the peace and quiet and wild life.

You are right about nut cases being every where though, another good thing about being in the middle of no where - nut cases tend to quietly disappear .... :hyper::hyper::hyper:

We've even got a river! 😂

Something in every room! You never know...

Because of the goats???????????????

We live in a valley that comes fully stocked with a railway line (yippee) and a river :)
Nah, no goats here but it's a good property line and adds value. 👍

Today I did a lot of things in my garden, very pleased about it, but not caught up yet. I’ll do more Monday.
I did plant my Cambodian atemoya down in the ground.
I up potted my Honey Jar Jujube, finally found a spot for this jujube.
I did move one blueberry pot forward, this way the Long An has room to breath. Not only that I did notice I have one large Emerald Blue blueberry, so soon. Last year, We were eating blueberries for the month of Jan and Feb, almost non stop.

So what would you guys suggest to start with in southern NYS?

I would be thinking Peas and Tomatoes maybe?

Ahh whenever the growing season ?? Most likely Spring I think :)

What about summer and the nice weather times? :)

Peas probably easier. Tomatoes you have to wait.
I’m looking forward to grow melons, these are my old pictures from my previous garden. I haven’t been able to replicate this experience.
Back then I had few fruit trees, now I have quite a few. Growing melons is no longer a priority, ie, I have no space for them, but I will try again.
