What are you baking today (2026)?

ZCook I've got plenty of meat on my bones, it'll last me a good long time
In other words, yes, my DH makes sure that I do, as well as take care of him too... The hand pies are for him, also one of those half Bundt cakes ... he's in piggy heaven :D

Egg Custard Pie, made with store bought-frozen Pie dough.
I was looking for those aluminum-disposable Pie Pans, but none were to be found, so I cheated.

Challah rolls - a bit like brioche, and braided. Trying out adapted recipe - rich bread recipes that use egg. Two eggs per 500g flour 55% hydration. May revisit proper brioche overnight recipe next - haven't made for ages.

I put together this "kit" and took it over to my mother's apartment when we were going to be her 24/7 care once she got out of the hospital... never got to use it until today...
It's going to be part of our supper this evening! Oh and breakfast tomorrow with loads of Butter and Honey, toasted of course.
