Simply tell us what you cooked, ate or drank today. We love to know! Photos are appreciated but not at all necessary.

I made a soup from tinned mushy peas and vegetable stock - cheap (very cheap!) and rather good and comforting.

Deep fried prawns in batter, slightly over-browned chips, peas and a tad of goodbye sauce.

Those prawns look good - what is 'goodbye sauce'? I'm sure you've already told me but I forgot...

What white-ish sauce would normally accompany seafood?

They are freshwater prawns.

That image is not very good.

Oh yeah! 'Ta Ta' sauce. :) Oddly it didn't look like tartare - is it from a tube?

It's from a plastic bottle with a spout on it. I have made my own in the past but I cannot get capers here so it was not really "right".

Found a recipe on another website for Devilled Crab. Turned out to be crab rarebit, so tried it for breakfast this morning. Made a roux, added beer, grated Cheddar cheese, Worcester sauce, Tabasco, white crab meat. Piled it onto a slice of toasted bread then grilled until golden on top. Finished with lemon juice and coriander. Scrumptious!
