What did you cook, eat or drink today (October 2018)?

Samosas? Yes.

I cooked the filling and my wife made and fried the result.
We made samosas yesterday as well, vege ones, I made the filling and pastry. My wife wrapped them, she has more patience than me. Free flow froze and into containers. Beef samosas next week.

I cooked duck legs - an experimental dish. I think it was good. I'll post photos tomorrow.

I've got a couple of thighs or leg quarters (don't remember which) in the freezer. We were watching a cooking show and she did something with duck and chocolate. I was thinking about giving that a try. Supposedly they go very well together.
 
I wonder why supermarkets don't sell chervil...or lovage and a number of other herbs that often feature on TV cooking programmes. I tried to grow chervil with no success this year.


Savoury. Jamie Oliver was obsessed with the summer and winter versions. I tried numerous times to grow both with no success.
