What did you cook/eat today (January 2020)?

Went to the New York Mart and found these puppies on ice. Will be having fun with geoduck tonight!

One of my colleagues brought a load of these back from (I think) Cyprus.
Several different flavours, they have a, to me, slightly strange texture a sort of powdery taste.

I grilled marinated NY strip steaks. Marinated them one day and the weather turned bad. I had heard of marinating then freezing before. Supposed to pick up more flavor. After trying it I’m sold. Steaks were very flavorful. Marinated with Worcestershire, oil oil, minced garlic, salt and pepper. After I grilled them tonight I topped them with a melted butter/Worcestershire sauce mixture. Incredibly flavorful and tender.
 
We made two preparations. The syphon was thinly sliced with a kiss of lemon juice (basically a raw preparation) and the belly was fried with a coating of panko.
