Chinese takeaway. General Tso's chicken, eggroll, and fried rice for me, beef and vegetables, eggroll, and white rice for MrsTasty.

I wonder if this would work for chicken too? I mean the technique of marinating then freezing.

I've frozen raw chicken in the marinade before and it was very good after defrosting and cooking. Possibly better than the original.

[Edit: it may have been shashlik - I can't find it now]

I have chicken in "hot butter chicken" marinade currently in the freezer now. Probably be a couple of weeks before I check that out.

And here's what I did with an apple... I simply cut it into chunks (not too small), sautéed them in a pan for 3 or maybe 4 minutes with a bit of unsalted butter and a sprinkling of cinnamon powder. I didn't add sugar because tasting a piece of apple I have realized they didn't need it, they were already sweet enough.
I sprinkled just a little bit of icing sugar at the end.
