What did you cook or eat today: August 2025?

We're still "camping out" at a hotel in the Big City, so I cobbled together what I think is a very nice lunch for DH

He was in heaven.
It's leftover focaccia from our Uber Eats delivery, some sliced up Genoa Salami that I brought with us from home, as well some chunked up Parmesan and diced Tomatoes.
A side of plenty of water to help flush out all the nasty stuff in his system and we're good til Supper, which I will go out to buy later when the rest of his meds are ready to pick up.
I don't drive around in the Big City much, so ... Miss GPS will be the co-pilot.

I had a club sandwich for lunch, and chose bread stuffing/dressing as a side, and MrsT had a reuben with…steamed cabbage as a side.

Waitress: You know that reuben has sauerkraut on it, right?
MrsT: Yeah.
Waitress: And you know sauerkraut is cabbage, right?
MrsT: Yup.
Waitress: Ok…suit yourself.

Still in the hotel "camping out", so I had to improvise

This is one of our favorite meals and I figured comfort food was going to help both of us mellow out after the time that we've had over the past coupla days.
Granted, I spent more money on this than I would have back in Cowboyville AZ, but that's okay.
Sushi of each diners choice, Edamame served in a skillet, `cuz no big bowls here, Pork Dumplings aka Gyoza and are beloved Aloha brand Shoyu (Soy Sauce) with some of the provided Wasabi (not really but, ssshhh).
I remember now how I dislike smooth-top electric cook tops ... It took an hour to get the water in the dutch oven to boil to heat the Edamame and Gyoza --- oh well, we had a nice supper.
AND we have a little bit of everything left for lunch tomorrow!
