What did you cook or eat today (February 2026)?

Lunch. Leftovers from yesterday's spag bol. Gussied up the spaghetti with wild spring greens and a dried wild ramp herb mixture.

Yumm.🌟
Are they single leaves or several per? They look large which is why asking.
Recipe/method? 🙂

Yes they are quite large :) I bought a potted sage plant with these fatty leaves so they are simple to stuff. However I think you can also use the smaller ones. The recipe is on my blog

Dried wild ramp sounds like a lovely ingredient. Did you make it yourself?

The stuffed deep fried sage leaves are usually single leaves (one top and one bottom). I made some once with just cheese inside, I seem to remember.

This fed us twice!

TastyReuben I had never seen anyone "use nature's fridge" until DH took me "back East" to meet his family and my future SIL had put all of the components for a large family party out the back door in the snow... I was gob-smacked!

Yep, very common here “Jus’ set that onna back porch inna snow, honey!”

Here's the smelly sheep's cheese.
I bought this about 29th December, but it hadn't ripened properly. I can assure you (and probably all my neighbours within a 500 mile radius) that it has now ripened and is absolutely glorious. In fact, Mr Porky (who never comes upstairs to my office) has just come upstairs to my office, to see if any falls off the plate. I gave him the rinds, and he's just rolled over on his back and barked " OMG, OMG, OMG!"
