MrsT made a turkey meatloaf from scratch, and we had some pre-made mashed potatoes. This is my first “heavy” meal in about 10 days, so I was really looking forward to it.
Now, it was turkey meatloaf, so it wasn’t as…complex as our usual beef-pork-veal, but it was still quite tasty. I was not disappointed at all, and I’m very much thinking about leftovers tomorrow.
Many of you may be wondering how MrsT is taking to cooking, whether she’s finding it’s not as bad as she thought…well, all through dicing onions and beating eggs and all that, I could hear her swearing under her breath. We were also supposed to have glazed carrots, quite simple to make, but once she slapped the meatloaf into the oven, she stomped into the living room, collapsed into her recliner, then looked at me and said, “I hope you’re still not expecting those goddam carrots!”
